The ending credits to the movie began scrolling across the television screen, prompting Woody and the other toys to jump down from the sofa.  The toys had the run of the house while Bonnie and her parents were away for a long weekend.  It was very late and the only light in the house came from the screen.  “Come on, everyone, let’s get some shut-eye,” Woody suggested.  He turned and found Buzz had hopped down only to put another movie into the DVD player.   The cowboy’s brown eyes flickered up to the couch, where a certain red-headed cowgirl doll was still seated.  “Aren’t you two coming?”

“Naw,” Jessie answered cheerfully.  “Ain’t tired.  An’ besides, we’re on a date now.  Those are hard to come by when Bonnie’s home.”

Woody smirked, “Well, keep it down, huh?”  He tipped his hat to Buzz.

The Space Ranger saluted his best friend, “See you in the morning, Cowboy.”  He climbed back on to the couch and wrapped his left arm around Jessie as the movie started.

“What’re we watchin’?” she snuggled against him, her cloth body fitting just right against his plastic frame.

“Apollo 13.  I thought it was fitting.  You okay with that?”

Jessie nodded, “I’m good with jus’ about anything if it means we’re alone.”

Buzz kissed her head in response and the two toys turned their attention to the movie.  After some time had passed, Jessie felt Buzz shift.  Before she could ask if he was all right, his lips were pressed against her cheek, her ear, her jaw.  “Think they’re asleep by now?” he whispered as he turned towards her.

“Mmmmm, should be.  I thought you wanted to watch the movie…” she teased, resting her hands on his arms.

He simply smiled as he untied the yellow ribbon from her hair, his fingers gently undoing the braid.  His lips found hers tenderly at first, then fervently as his hands moved lightly down her back, tracing the white plastic ring before coming to rest around her waist.   Jessie’s small hands gripped the neck of his spacesuit and pulled him towards her as she fell back against the cushion.  She tilted her head back as he resumed his attention to her neck, her fingers tracing the outline of the buttons on his chest plate.   Consumed with each other, the movie and everything else faded away.  Had anyone been listening, they might have heard the sound of a muffled yodel or a heroic exclamation; fortunately any ears were deafened by sleep, leaving the lovers’ privacy intact.

Buzz and Jessie were unaware of how much time had passed when they finally sat up, breathless.  The movie had long since ended and the only light in the room came from the green glow of Buzz’s spacesuit.  “Okay, Cowgirl?” he asked as he cradled his left arm around her shoulders.

She placed her right hand behind his head and rested her forehead against his.  “I think…my voicebox….almost exploded,” she breathed heavily.  Her left hand was against his chest and she smiled as he covered it with his right.  When she met his eyes, they twinkled as he grinned.

“Mission accomplished, then,” he quipped and dropped a kiss on her nose.  He was caught off guard as she pushed him down onto the couch.

“Your turn, Space Boy,” she raised an eyebrow and kissed him, smiling to herself as she heard the familiar sound of his wings extending.
By popular demand (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!), here's a fluffy little fic inspired by :iconrain1940: and her latest drawing: Mission Accomplished.

Hope you enjoy it!

All characters belong to Disney/Pixar. I just borrow them for fluff :giggle:
